Al-Maer City FC will start the second half on Sunday night with a home match against De Graafschap, the current fifth seed in the Kitchen Champions League. The Mergers have not won in their last four matches and are in the 16th place in the standings with 9 points from 9 matches they played.

Goalkeeper Agil Etemadi will return on Sunday after two and a half years under the bar at the Almeerders. That’s because number one Michael Wood has international commitments with New Zealand this week. The last official match that Etemad Lamadi held with Almeri was the first-round second leg of the qualifiers against Kambur in 2019.

In addition to goalkeeper Wood, third goalkeeper Sten Keeler lost on Sunday night due to international matches with Young Switzerland. Keeler was on the bench with Switzerland in Lausanne on Friday night in the match against Dutch Juniors (2-2) and will play an away game against Young Bulgaria on Tuesday night. Thus, Magdiel Agji Adomako of Jung Almere will be the reserve against De Graafschap on Sunday night.

    Captain Riquefort is temporarily disabled
Captain Tim Rickefour has been eliminated for the time being. The midfielder withdrew last Friday with a hamstring injury in their 3-2 away defeat to FC Volendam. The Receveur certainly won’t be available to Almeerders for the next four weeks.
Right-back Fares Hamouti scored his first 45 minutes during a training match this week, but according to coach Gertan Verbeek, he must train for at least another two weeks to be fit. Wing striker Elias El Haft, who was still missing against FC Volendam, trained with the group again this week.

    Oktoberfest
The match will start at home against De Grafschap next Sunday evening at eight o’clock in the evening and will be led by referee Nagtigal. Yanmar Stadium will be transformed into an Oktoberfest this evening. The stadium opens at 5:30 pm, and fans can then sip beer and sausages to the tunes of German Schlager music. The club even offered a prize for fans who come to the match in leggings or a dirndl.
