As part of the “sustainable dialogue” between the United States and Morocco, a Moroccan delegation has been visiting the United States since Wednesday. Washington took advantage of this visit to reaffirm its support for the ongoing reforms in the kingdom.

It represents “the tenth meeting of the dialogue that has been going on for more than a decade,” according to a statement by the American diplomacy, which also confirmed that “Morocco is a close partner of the United States.”

In this regard, the US State Department states that in light of the partnership between the two countries, Rabat and Washington “regularly” exchange views on various issues, including the promotion of human rights.

But these conversations also include, for example, “how we can work together to advance King Mohammed VI’s reform agenda in areas such as freedom of expression and association, criminal law reform, women’s rights and gender equality, and government transparency.” .
