The Northern Hemisphere falls in the fall, when the Earth tends to face the sun from the other side of the equator – characterized by fewer hours of daylight. At the same time, our southern counterpart is conquering the spring, it is called the vernal equinox, which means that it will reap the most benefits from the sun for the next six months.

The autumnal equinox gives way to the winter solstice – on December 21 in the Northern Hemisphere – when the Earth’s pole reaches its maximum inclination from the sun.
