If Amazon sales are anything to go by – and since Amazon is the largest online retailer in the world, we’d say it probably is – The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is already off to a very strong start in life.
A quick look at the Amazon List of one of the best-selling games of 2021 reveals that Skyward Sword HD is indeed the third best-selling retail game of the year so far. Only Super Mario 3D World + Bowser Fury (launched in February) dominates Animal Crossing: New Horizons and is the best-selling game on Amazon this calendar year, with Skyward Sword taking third place just ten days after its launch.
This data comes from Amazon in the US, but the game also reached the number one spot in both the UK and Japan, indicating that the retail performance is solid in those regions as well. Not bad at all.
