For fully vaccinated travelers traveling to Switzerland by car or train, the quarantine obligation ends and it is no longer necessary to show a negative test result. Airlines passengers still have to fill out a contact form. Those who have not been fully vaccinated or have recently recovered from Covid-19 must show a negative PCR or antigen test performed 72 hours prior to their arrival. This test requirement does not apply to children up to 16 years of age.

The state does everything in its power to provide guests with the best possible accommodation. Strict hygiene and safety regulations apply to the entire tourism sector, from restaurants and hotels to museums and public transportation. The “Clean & Safe” quality mark has been awarded to more than 4000 companies, as evidence of the implementation of comprehensive safety measures.

    Traveling by public transportation
Traveling on Swiss public transport, this summer as well, is a destination in itself. In most cases, trains and buses run on the normal schedule. Wearing a face mask is mandatory on trains and buses, on platforms and in station buildings, except for children up to 12 years of age and for travelers who cannot comply for medical reasons. Panorama trains such as the Bernina Express, Glacier Express and Gotthard Panorama Express run daily, but temporary modifications are possible.
