    On Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russia had fired “warning shots” at a British Navy destroyer in the Black Sea, 40 kilometers from the coast of Crimea, annexed by Moscow. The United Kingdom rejected Russia’s allegations.

    According to Moscow, the British ship HMS Defender violated the maritime border. The official news agency reported that the ship sailed off Cape Violent, eight miles south of Sevastopol, at a depth of two miles in “Russian territorial waters”. Sputnik News under the authority of the Ministry.

    She added that after the incident, the Russian Ministry of Defense summoned the military attache of the British Embassy in Moscow Sputnik News.

    The United Kingdom rejected Russia’s allegations. Britain’s Ministry of Defense said “no warning shots were fired” at the destroyer.
