    Sonos is expanding the availability of its Radio HD service to five new countries, including the Netherlands. Listeners can subscribe to Sonos’ flac radio service for $8 per month.

    Sonos releases Sonos Radio HD in . from tuesday Holland, Germany, France, Austria and Canada. The service was already available to users in the United Kingdom and the United States. It is not known when HD Radio will arrive in Belgium.

    Sonos Radio HD is the paid version of Sonos Radio last June, which allows Sonos users to access thousands of online radio stations, private stations, and stations curated by artists. This service has been available in Belgium since November. Sonos Radio HD is ad-free and offers 16-bit and 44.1 kHz astronomy stations. In addition, HD subscribers can skip and repeat songs and expect exclusive music programs.

    One of them is a beacon to musician and producer Brian Eno. In this way, the artist presents both old and new material, including previously unpublished music. In a program that will be open to all, Eno discusses previously unreleased material and explains why he is diving into his music archive.

    On the other hand, with Radio HD, Sonos will compete more with TuneIn and lossless paid streaming shows from Amazon, Apple, Deezer and Spotify, among others.
