The United States will talk again with Iran about a renewed international nuclear treaty. They will participate in an international meeting in Vienna next week. The deal is in recession, and Washington confirms that it is open to talks with the regime in Tehran, according to the US State Department. No direct talks are expected yet between the two countries.
It is still early, and we do not expect an immediate breakthrough as there will be difficult discussions. “But we believe that this is a healthy step forward,” a ministry spokesman said.
It was previously announced today that the important countries, China, Russia, France, Germany and the United Kingdom will meet in the Austrian capital Vienna on Tuesday to talk with Iran about the nuclear deal. Countries want to revive the agreement.
Iran has ceased to be bound by the agreements since the United States unilaterally withdrew from the accord in 2018 under the leadership of then-President Donald Trump. In the 2015 deal, Iran agreed to restrict and monitor its nuclear activities in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions.

While Trump’s successor, Joe Biden, is open to a revert to the deal, that hasn’t happened yet. First, the president wants Iran to adhere to the agreements again, while Iran calls on the United States to lift the sanctions first.
The consultations are taking place in Vienna, chaired by the European Union. The European Union says the discussion partners will meet to determine which sanctions should be lifted and which measures are necessary due to nuclear activities.
