The Interior Ministry says 23 cases are active, while the remaining 26 have recovered, and contact tracing has been completed.

“The smaller number of new cases this week is encouraging – a decrease like this is what we want to see after completing our initial investigation and reaching out to those we identified as being in close contact with the original cases,” said IH Medical Health Officer Dr. Karen Goodison.

“However, we are expecting new cases for a week or two after the announcement of a set, so nobody should let their guard down at Revelstoke for now.”

“Inland health continues to see a large number of new cases every day, and these are affecting rural communities as well as our larger centers,” Goodison continued.

The doctor also said, “We are cautiously optimistic about our progress and urge everyone to continue to follow all public health guidelines and orders. Working together, we can contain this group and prevent more cases of COVID-19 in Revelstoke District.”

Continuing, the Home Health Ministry says a community block has been contained in Salmo.

That group had 25 cases said to stretch south from Nelson.

The Ministry of Interior said that the majority of cluster cases are linked to multiple social events that occurred in Salmo at the end of October and early November.
