    Lavista. We are setting new heights in every way we track COVID-19 in the region. Alexandria: 281 people are hospitalized in the immediate area. There are 95 patients in intensive care. 83% of intensive care beds are full. Douglas County Health Department says there are 25 people with COVID-19 working on ventilators in the area. This is also a high point since we started tracking data in March, and seven cases last week. David: Douglas County’s positivity rate is over 21%. This is the highest level since the start of the epidemic. The Omaha Police Department confirmed 23 cases of COVID-19 among the officers. 12 of them were reported in the past week. Today the Ministry of Health reported 281 new and known cases, we also learned of an additional death, a man in his 60s.     A new case of pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) has been confirmed in Douglas County, health officials announced Wednesday. Two cases were reported in June and the third is now in Children’s Hospital after admission on November 1. The patient is less than 10 years old, tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies, and has no comorbidities. Many children recover from MIS-C with medical treatment, and MIS-C can cause inflammation in a range of parts of the body and vital organs. The exact cause of MIS-C has not been confirmed, but several children with the condition have had or have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.
