A group of climate and work activists have gathered in Los Angeles to protest against Amazon and its founder Jeff Bezos … and they take their protest all the way to his doorstep.

The Core Workers Conference is a group of former and current Amazon warehouse employees who are leading the way, whose job is to summon the company to its working conditions and its impact on the climate.

The protest kicked off at 2 p.m. at Will Rogers State Park, as the group addressed the crowd about the company’s alleged greed and Amazon’s mistreatment of the planet.

Many were seen carrying placards saying “Bezos tax” as well.

Corporate greed is fueling the climate emergency. We need a coalition of environmentalists, workers and customers to respond, and that is what this protest represents today.#PeopleOverProfit #ClimateActivism pic.twitter.com/H80bgvXZKK

Protesters are now walking to the Bezos platform in Beverly Hills, less than a mile from the park, where they plan to stop and demonstrate before returning to the park.

The rally was promoted earlier this week online with the slogan “The wrong Amazon is burning!” … and the protest comes just a week before Amazon’s famous Prime Day.

As we reported … the e-commerce giant is already going through a bad advertising week following revelations that it’s almost over 20 thousand cases of corona virus Among its workforce since March.

And this protest is not really related to that.
