    Ireland’s Supreme Court says the bread used on subway sites across the country is loaded with a great deal of sugar and should not be considered a “staple food”.

    The calorie count for six types of bread is not included in Subway’s “September 2020 UK and Ireland” Nutrition Facts list, which can be downloaded from its website.

    For the sake of comparison, in the United States there are 13 types of bread (excluding 2 tortilla rolls) ranging from 120 to 220 calories, 2 and 5 grams of sugar and 1 and 5 grams of total fat.
