In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday morning, Lara Trump, a senior Trump campaign adviser, described a strong campaign trail.
When asked if she and the others were wearing masks, she told Tapper, “We wear masks when needed indoors. at all. And you will notice that in our gatherings, we distribute masks to people, and ask them to wear them, and there are signs that say please wear your mask. We offer hand sanitizer. ”
remember: While the campaign provides masks and hand sanitizer at gatherings, there is no enforcement of these policies, and it is rare to see masks on the ground.
In a heated exchange, Lara Trump was unable to confirm that the president had tested negative within 72 hours before discussing Cleveland, as she told Tapper, “I assume the answer is yes. I wasn’t with him physically. I work in the campaign and not in the White House. ”
When asked whether, according to discussion committee rules, she would wear masks, which she and other members of the Trump family in Cleveland had violated, Lara told Tapper, “If we are asked to wear masks, we will.”
