According to Ukrainian negotiator David Arashamga, the draft documents of the peace treaty between Ukraine and Russia are at an advanced stage of the possibility of a meeting between Presidents Putin and Zelensky, according to the Ukrainian Interfax news agency. According to Arachamca, the meeting will “probably” take place in Turkey.

Today, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported that Russia wants to continue negotiations with Ukraine in Belarus, but Ukraine does not want this. “For some reason, this is inconvenient for them or there is another reason,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview on Belarusian TV today, according to RIA Novosti.

Peskov said talks with Ukraine were not easy. “But the important thing is that they continue.”

Last week, delegations from the two countries met in Istanbul. After an initial positive uproar, Russia bounced back and said that nothing promising had been achieved. But yesterday, Russia suddenly announced once again that progress had been made. Foreign Minister Lavrov said at the time that consultations should continue.
