Amazon has introduced a new flying object to be delivered by a drone. The new MK30 delivery drone is already taking flight to Prime customers.
Amazon was already able to successfully deliver an order by drone in 2016. At the time, the company was testing delivery in the UK. This was the Fire TV Stick And popcorn delivery. It was recently said that beta tests should begin this year. Amazon has now clarified its plans for Prime Air and presented a new MK30 drone that will replace all previous model generations by the end of 2024. The new delivery drone can transport parcels weighing a maximum of 2.2kg. According to Amazon, the new drone flying object was developed in collaboration with national and international regulatory authorities in order to put the safest drone on skis. The MK30 should be able to better handle variable weather conditions and keep the pack inside rather than holding it underneath you. The MK30 is a six-engine hexacopter.
Current beta testers in Lockford, California, must first tell the drone where it can land. To do this, customers must place QR codes at the location where the drone should land. Amazon is working on a more accurate GPS to make the process faster and less complicated for customers in the future. All of Amazon’s drones are equipped with multiple sensors that allow them to orient themselves and avoid obstacles automatically. The manufacturer promises that the delivery should reach the customer in less than an hour. Amazon wants to deliver 500 million drones annually by 2030.
