US authorities are investigating a possible attempt to rig elections in New Hampshire. Thousands of voters received a phone message containing the fake vote for President Joe Biden. He called on them not to vote in the primaries.

Democrats, like Republicans, are scheduled to hold a primary in New Hampshire on Tuesday. Incumbent President Biden is not on the electoral ballot due to a dispute over the order of the primaries. Voters may enter Biden's name in an empty box.

according to CNN Between 5,000 and 25,000 voters received a phone call in which they heard a message purporting to be from Biden. The president's voice appears to have been recreated using artificial intelligence (AI).

In the letter, Biden calls on voters not to vote in the primaries, otherwise they will not be able to vote in the November elections. Voters are asked to “save” their votes.

The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office said: “The letter is completely fake. It is not from President Biden, and there is no doubt that voters will have to keep their ballots.” The White House also confirms that the message is fake.

Biden's campaign team says it is aware of the fake message, but is not overly concerned. According to opinion polls, Democratic opponents Dean Phillips and Marianne Williamson have no chance of unseating the current president.

Trump's team denies being behind the message

It was not known who was behind the fake message. Donald Trump's campaign team denied having anything to do with this action.

Trump is the most prominent candidate who will face Biden on behalf of the Republicans in November. The former president won the first Republican primary in Iowa by a wide margin.

Nikki Haley is Trump's latest challenger. She will have to do well during the upcoming Republican primaries in New Hampshire and South Carolina.
