The 2028 European Football Championship is likely to be held in the UK and Ireland. The European Football Association announced that the only competitor, Turkey, withdrew on Wednesday from its candidacy to organize this tournament. The country will focus on winning the 2032 European Football Championship with Italy. UEFA has yet to formally approve the UK and Ireland's joint bid as well as Turkey and Italy's bid.
