Five-time Champion Tiger Woods started hard at the Masters, the popular golf tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. And the role of the defending champion in 68 strokes (-4) on the opening day. The 44-year-old American spawned four birds and played equally the other fourteen holes.
It was the first time since 2009 that Woods had not scored the Ghost in the first round in a major. It is currently in the joint fourth place.
Britain’s Paul Casey leads after the first day with 65 strikes, but many players were unable to finish their first round on Thursday due to darkness. The first day of the tournament got off to a slow start, because soon after the start, the battle was halted for three hours by thunderstorms and torrential rain.
Masters are usually completed in April. Due to the Corona epidemic, the prestigious event had to be postponed to November. Due to Corona’s measures, there is no general welcome in the four days this year.
