Today, Storm Pia is moving across the Netherlands and bringing with it strong winds. Although no warnings have been issued tonight, meteorologists warn of strong winds during the morning and afternoon.

Wind speeds are expected to reach about 80 km/h across the country, and coastal areas are expected to witness stronger gusts of up to about 90 km/h. On the northern coast, its speed can reach 100-110 km/h. The wind direction varies from west to northwest.

The impact of this storm can cause damage from broken tree branches and flying objects, such as roof tiles and garden furniture. Disturbances and delays to land and air traffic are also expected. It is recommended to take necessary precautions and be alert to potential risks.

Overnight into Friday, strong wind gusts will be mainly confined to coastal areas, with the Wadden region still at risk until Friday afternoon.

Stay informed of current weather updates and follow local authorities’ instructions to minimize the impact of Storm Pia. Be careful and take safety measures to avoid damage and discomfort.
