Saudi Arabia is considering a bid to host the World Cup in 2030. The intended partner is more than just an amazing bid: Italy.
FIFA supports dividing the World Cup among more countries. Partly due to the further expansion of the field of participants – in 2026, 48 countries will compete for the world title – it is desirable to create a joint organization. Therefore, Saudi Arabia has drawn up a list of potential and wanted partners.
to me the athlete Italy is at the top of that Saudi list. This will be the first time that the World Cup will be held on two continents.
There are more candidates to organize the World Cup in 2030. Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay have joined. Portugal and Spain also advanced, as did the grouping of Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, and Serbia. In addition, Morocco wants to host the World Cup.
Saudi Arabia was one of the initiators of the new World Cup cycle. At the FIFA conference in May, a formal request was made to conduct an investigation into the World Cup every two years. In 2026, the battle for the world title will be decided in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
