The women’s doubles visitors won the silver medal in the second World Cup this season. De Jong and Scheenaard took second place behind the superior Roman duo Bodnar / Radis.

Melvin Tueller and Steve Bronink finished third in the double rowing races. The Dutch couple were surprisingly European champions last year, but had to leave the European title to Boucheron and Androdias in April. In Lucerne, the duo kept France behind.

However, gold was not given that, as Liu and Zhang of China, Irish Bern and Doyle (who did not reach the final in the European Championship) were ahead of the Netherlands.

Holland sister and doubles doubles for the four ladies are disappointing

The Netherlands eighth team finished last in the final, almost seven seconds from the winning boat from Great Britain.

The bronze medals were, however, awarded to Björn van den Indy, Robert Loken, Jasper Thyssen, Simon Van Dorp, Martin Horkmans, Robin Knapp, Michel Verslaus, Bram Schwartz and helmsman Ellen Berger, because only three teams participated. Silver went to Germany.

The Dutch women’s four doubles competitions ended disappointingly in the final in Switzerland.

In April, Laila Issoufou, Ingie Janssen, Olivia Van Ruegen and Nicole Bookers managed to extend their European title in Varese. They are not participating in Lucerne now. In the middle of the final, they were still third behind China and Germany, and in the second part the quadruple also yielded to the final opponents of Italy, Poland and Switzerland.
