Most of the charging stations in Elektrum’s electric car charging network, which currently includes 90 outlets, are located in Riga, but charging points have also been set up in the largest cities of Latvia. In cooperation with the partner, 34 outlets were built, while the lease agreement for the “Elektrum Drive” service was connected to 10 outlets.

“Our goal this year was to reach at least 84 ports, and we have gone beyond that plan, but next year we plan to work actively with ports in Lithuania and Estonia, to become a player in the Baltic region in shipping network issues,” Latvenergo board member for media Kaspars Sikmais. .

The company plans to establish a network of 230 ports in the Baltic states. The Baltic states will also have their own brand name – “Elektrum Drive”, which, in addition to shipping, may appear other products in the future.

Meanwhile, the company has established the first Latvian charging station in the Riga region, Nokalis Street. Neighborhoods are a challenging environment, as they have to deal with factors such as yard infrastructure, lack of parking, as well as complex property rights, which make decision-making long and difficult.
