Former Chief Scientist Robert Dijgraf is our Minister for Education, Culture and Science. It places special emphasis on vocational education, higher education, research and editing.

Robert previously served as Director and Leon Levy Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton (USA). As a theoretical physicist, his research focuses on the smallest particles and largest structures in the universe.

You’ve probably heard him talk about it, because he enjoys talking about it on TV, for example at DWDD University. Before leaving for Princeton, Robert was President of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. Robert is married and has two sons and a daughter.
