Camera crash, excessive battery consumption and other problems

Theodore Meeks, October 26, 2021

google browser I held an event on October 19 during which it revealed the new Pixel 6 phones, but also the Pixel 6 Pro and at the same time the stable version of Android 12 arrived. It arrived on the compatible Pixel phones and now after a few days of installing the software on millions of terminals we are starting to receive feedback, grouped with the first errors. What are the problems below.

Android 12

Google Pixel phone users have posted bugs on the dedicated community, on Reddit, and on forums since the update to Android 12. According to the official Google support forum, Pixel phone users are experiencing issues with apps crashing, phone jams between calls, and battery drain suddenly. It also happens that the biometric authentication sensors are not working. Moreover, reboots and even factory resets do not help in resolving these shortcomings.

Android 12

A Pixel 4XL user, for example, writes on the Google support page that their phone no longer has face unlock, and that the screen turns black when making calls. Other users are complaining about not being able to use the camera which only shows a black image. Most bugs in Android 12 seem to be camera related. Google claims that these crashes are related to compatibility issues.

It appears that the version of the camera app on your phone is not compatible with the new Android 12.bugs fall”, between the problems in Windows 11 and those in iOS 15. As time goes on and we prepare for the arrival of the final UI variants from Samsung, OPPO, realme and other companies, the bugs should be fixed.

As usual, we invite you to tell us in the comments section if you have such problems.
