The Mexican Grand Prix will be held this weekend. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez tell more about expectations and their desire for more podiums and victories in Red Bull Racing’s press release.

Verstappen won the United States Grand Prix. It was a huge surprise, because Mercedes has always been dominant there. However, he managed to stand the highest score on the podium which gave the Dutchman a good feeling.

“Obviously the last few races have been very tough with many engine failures and some unfortunate moments, so it definitely felt good to be back there with Checo by my side. It was a very satisfying win, we showed good pace in the US Grand Prix, so I want to build on That momentum and of course it was also important to score good points for the tournament.”

Furthermore, the 24-year-old has fond memories of his victories in Mexico and so he is looking forward to racing again, especially since it is Perez’s home race. “I know we will have a lot of fans now that Checo is on the team as well, so I look forward to seeing them all at the track and of course I hope we can have a competitive weekend. It is very important for me and the team that we try to win the next three races as we struggle from for the championship.”

Perez is ready for another platform

The Mexican is excited, as he will be leading the race at home this weekend. He is very excited about the fact that he has a car that could end up on the podium. “It’s great to have a team and a car to dream about winning in my home country. We have a chance to get a big result this weekend, so I will prepare as best I can and see what we can achieve.”

It will be a special weekend for the 31-year-old driver. He will give a show taking place in the streets of Mexico City and treat the team to Mexican food to give them a sense of the traditions of his homeland. Complementing the party is a special helmet in the colors of the Mexican flag.
