It concerns men between the ages of 48 and 53, both from Os in Brabant. The searches were conducted at four addresses in Os and one in Dentlord, according to police. At the same time, searches were carried out in the Czech Republic and two suspects, aged 37-45, were arrested there.

The 48-year-old man from Os and the 37-year-old man from the Czech Republic have been identified as the prime suspects.

The investigation into the union’s case is still ongoing since the beginning of this year. Arms dealers are believed to have supplied more than a thousand firearms to criminal groups in the Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, Germany, Portugal, Sweden and the Czech Republic.

    Taksforce was founded in Europol

In an effort to bring these suppliers to justice, a so-called Europol task force was formed. The Netherlands is part of this, along with Slovakia, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Austria, Poland, and the United Kingdom.

During searches in the Netherlands, a large amount of money, firearms and cars, among other things, were found. In the Czech Republic, the police found phones, management, a car and a large amount of money. Data carriers were set in both countries. Police said the two suspects arrested in the Czech Republic “will be extradited to the Netherlands at some point.”

Find 22 weapons in the Soil of Destiny

The reason for the investigation was a shipment of 22 guns that were found hidden in a pallet with cultivated soil near Hoek van Holland, which was on its way to the UK last year.

The investigation, dubbed 26 Bridport, has previously made arrests.

A 55-year-old man from Aws has been detained since his arrest on June 8 this year. A set of firearms was found in his car. An arms supplier has also been arrested in the past. That was on September 14 this year. Police said no further arrests were ruled out.
