With a bandage still on her buttocks, a 38-year-old woman fled a Rome clinic shortly after undergoing cosmetic treatment. She allegedly fled because of the high bill of €20,000.
It seems that the woman prepared her trip well, as reported in the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera Even the getaway car is ready. She thinks she will save €19,000, because she has already made a down payment of €1,000.
“My patients always say that buttock surgery is painful,” says plastic surgeon Maximilian Catenacci of the Montesacro Clinic in Rome. “Now that I see how quickly a woman runs away immediately after the operation, I think differently.” “The woman quickly ran up the stairs and ran across the parking lot. She was clearly in very good condition.”
The process consists of two parts. The 38-year-old reported to the clinic in Rome on Tuesday. That same day was the first part of the operation, followed by the second operation the next day. Surgeon Catenacci discovered that the woman was actually wanted by a colleague. This was not the first time she had come up with such a trick. While getting her lip done, she disappeared after she said she had to get her purse out of the car.
The clinic submitted a report and also took action. “From now on, all patients must pay all bills at least 48 hours before the date of surgery.”
