You should start making room in your entertainment center – images of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S devices appeared today in journalists’ living rooms, and they look huge.
While the Xbox Series S appears to be a slightly portable version of the Xbox One X with a taller front face and thus won’t take up much space in your current setup, its older brother is another story: 15.1cm x 15.1cm x 30.1cm, the Xbox Series X is a beast. Dangerous, and easily twice the size of many other controllers.
GameSpot was one of the ports chosen to receive and stack a non-functional “dummy” image module against the PS4 Pro, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One X.
The results … well, almost comic, as Michael Higham of GameSpot has shown in several tweets:

Exactly how much space do you need?
Having current-generation consoles next to the new consoles is very helpful in deciding how much space we will need to dedicate to the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
For example, we can see from some images that the Xbox Series S is almost the same size as the PS4 Pro. The PS4 Pro looks hair longer, but in terms of both new Xbox consoles, the Series S is 60% smaller than the Xbox Series X, according to Microsoft.
The best Xbox Series X comparison is versus the Nintendo Switch, oddly enough, as the width of the two consoles (with the X Series on its side) appears to be pretty much the same. Of course the X Series is much thicker than the Nintendo Switch and has the upper grille to account for.
