More options for enthusiasts as dual-clutch cars have been added to the flagship models, reducing acceleration times.

The entire Porsche 718 range It can now be chosen with the company Seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, Known as PDK.

The German sports car manufacturer has confirmed that the gearbox is now an option on the flagship GTS, Spyder and GT4 models available within the 718 range, which were initially launched as manual models only.

The range-topping 718 Spyder and GT4 variants with the PDK also benefit from a narrower limited-slip differential.

The result is that the Spyder and GT4 models cut half a second off acceleration times, with Porsche claiming that these flagship models can now reach 100 km / h from stopping in just 3.9 seconds.

The same amount of GTS times was cut, hitting 100 km / h in a constant 4.0 seconds, when the PDK was chosen.

Buyers who choose the 718 GTS with the PDK get launch control and an overdrive button on the steering wheel, providing maximum performance for 20 seconds.

The 718 GTS, Spyder and GT4 models also benefit from a shorter seventh gear compared to the PDK transmission currently available across the 718 range.

The output of the 4.0-liter hexagonal flatbed remains at 294 kW and 420 Nm for the GTS, or 309 kW and 420 Nm for the Spyder and GT4.

Porsche says the new 2021718 kit will now be available with Race-Tex interior trim, which is said to mimic Alcantara faux suede, but provides improved breathability and longevity.

A new Python Green exterior color is now available for Spyder and GT4 owners, and the Spyder can now be selected with the 20-inch Aurum wheels – previously available only for the GT4.

Porsche’s PDK is now available to order via the 718 series, with deliveries expected to begin early 2021.
