The annual awards arrive as consumers continue to navigate higher travel costs while seeking premium experiences and meaningful rewards. This year’s list reflects a marketplace where flexibility, loyalty benefits and tangible perks increasingly shape purchasing decisions.
According to the company, its editorial team spent months evaluating products and services across the travel ecosystem. The results combine firsthand testing with data-driven analysis to identify brands that deliver consistent real-world value rather than headline promises.
Credit Cards That Lead on Value and Flexibility
Credit cards remained a central focus of the 2026 awards, underscoring their role as the foundation of modern travel strategies. The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card was named Travel Rewards Credit Card of the Year, reinforcing its reputation as a versatile option for travelers seeking strong earning potential and redemption flexibility.
At the premium end of the market, the American Express Platinum Card® earned Premium Credit Card of the Year honors, recognized for its extensive suite of travel benefits, including lounge access and elite-style perks.
Cash-back simplicity also received recognition. The Citi Double Cash® Card took the Cash-Back Credit Card of the Year title, while the Wells Fargo Autograph® Card was selected as the top No-Annual-Fee Credit Card. For small-business owners, the Capital One Venture X Business card stood out for overall performance.
A newer entrant, the Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® Credit Card, was highlighted as Best New Personal Credit Card, signaling continued innovation in the competitive rewards card landscape.
Airlines and Lounges Raise the Bar
Airlines and airport lounges featured prominently in this year’s awards, reflecting a growing emphasis on premium cabins and ground experiences. American Airlines AAdvantage was named Best U.S. Airline Loyalty Program, with its top-tier AAdvantage Executive Platinum status also earning individual recognition.
Onboard product quality remained a differentiator. Delta Air Lines’ Delta One Suite won Best U.S. Business Class, while international carriers claimed top global honors. Qatar Airways Qsuite was selected as Best International Business Class, and Air France La Premiere earned Best International First Class. Emirates Premium Economy was recognized for offering an elevated experience between economy and business class.
For economy travelers, JetBlue received Best U.S. Economy Cabin, reflecting continued demand for comfort and value at lower price points.
Airport lounges also played a key role. The Capital One Lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport and the Delta One Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport were named top new lounge openings. On the hospitality side, Marriott Bonvoy was selected as Best Hotel Loyalty Program, while World of Hyatt Globalist received Best Hotel Elite Status for its benefits and recognition of frequent guests.
Several properties earned individual honors. The Waldorf Astoria New York was named Best New or Renovated Points Hotel following its high-profile return. Under Canvas Columbia River Gorge won Best New Outdoor Experience on Points, highlighting the growing appeal of experiential stays. The W Punta Cana, Adult All-Inclusive was recognized as Best New All-Inclusive Points Hotel.
Bilt Rewards captured Best Everyday Rewards Program, reflecting its ability to integrate travel rewards into routine spending.
The cruise sector also saw strong representation. MSC World America earned Best New Ocean Ship, while AmaMagdalena was named Best New River Ship. Viking won Best Adults-Only Cruise Line, Ponant Explorations took Best Expedition Cruise Line, and Royal Caribbean was recognized as Best Cruise Line Overall for Families and Best Cruise Line Loyalty Program. Princess Cruises earned Best Big-Ship Itineraries.
