PARIS — Air France is set to make its mark on the entertainment capital of the world next spring with a new nonstop service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Las Vegas (LAS). Beginning April 15, 2026, the French flag carrier will launch three weekly flights, strengthening its North American network and offering travelers a direct link between Europe and Nevada’s glittering desert city.
The route, operating Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, will use Airbus A350-900 aircraft — a long-haul jet known for its comfort, fuel efficiency, and lower emissions. The addition represents the first confirmed expansion in Air France’s Summer 2026 schedule and continues the airline’s post-pandemic growth strategy in the transatlantic market.
A Strategic Link Between France and Nevada
According to Air France, flight AF56 will depart Paris at 1:40 p.m. and arrive in Las Vegas at 3:35 p.m. local time. The return service, AF57, is scheduled to leave Las Vegas at 5:50 p.m. and land in Paris at 1:05 p.m. the following day. The timing allows for convenient transfers at CDG, connecting passengers from across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East to Las Vegas with a single stop.
Las Vegas will become Air France’s 19th U.S. destination and 26th in North America, joining a lineup that includes Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York (both JFK and Newark), San Francisco, and Toronto. The expansion complements the carrier’s joint venture partner KLM’s year-round Amsterdam–Las Vegas service, which operates up to seven times weekly.
The move underscores Air France’s intention to capitalize on the enduring appeal of U.S. leisure markets and the increasing demand for direct transatlantic service. The Las Vegas addition is expected to attract both vacationers seeking Europe’s cultural capital and business travelers drawn to the growing convention and hospitality industry in southern Nevada.
Sustainability and Comfort With the A350
The new route will be operated by the Airbus A350-900, Air France’s flagship aircraft for long-haul routes. The jet features the airline’s latest cabin design, including upgraded seats, quieter cabins, and improved air quality systems. The A350-900 also burns up to 25 percent less fuel compared to older-generation aircraft — a key factor in Air France’s environmental commitments.
With its addition, passengers flying between Paris and Las Vegas can expect “improved comfort, greater fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions—supporting the airline’s sustainability goals,” Air France said in announcing the route.
Expanding the North American Network
The Las Vegas route continues Air France’s steady expansion across North America, where travel demand has rebounded strongly since 2023. The carrier has been particularly focused on leisure-oriented markets and destinations with strong convention and tourism ties.
By the start of the Summer 2026 season, Air France will offer more than two dozen destinations across the continent. This strategy aims to enhance its competitive position against both U.S. and European carriers, while leveraging its Paris hub to serve travelers from regions such as Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia looking for direct U.S. access.
The airline’s choice of Las Vegas aligns with global travel trends that favor high-demand leisure destinations with strong year-round visitation. The city welcomed more than 40 million visitors in 2023, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, and continues to grow as a major business events hub.
A Boost for Transatlantic Tourism
For Paris, the new flights mean greater connectivity for American tourists returning to Europe’s most visited city. CDG remains one of the world’s busiest hubs and a gateway to France’s broader network of destinations, including Lyon, Marseille, and Nice.
The route also supports bilateral tourism and trade between France and Nevada. Industry observers expect the connection to draw both European travelers seeking Las Vegas’s casinos and entertainment, and American visitors heading to Paris for art, fashion, and gastronomy.
With Las Vegas joining Air France’s expanding map, travelers on both sides of the Atlantic will soon have a new, efficient, and environmentally responsible way to bridge two of the world’s most iconic cities.
