The Suriname Police Corps (KPS) announces that NV Energie Bedrijven Suriname (EBS) will carry out important works on the JA Wijdenbosch Bridge during the night of Saturday 6 to Sunday 7 July 2024.

This work will be carried out between 10pm and 6am and involves the replacement, installation and securing of some cable covers.

EBS will use three vehicles for this work, which will use the left lane from the direction of the Van't Hogerhuysstraat roundabout to Meerzorg.

During the work, the left lane on the bridge will be partially occupied by EBS vehicles. This could cause delays and disruption to traffic.

Police will be present to direct traffic and ensure that work can be carried out safely and efficiently.

Replacing and protecting cable covers is essential to the safety and reliability of the power supply.

Road users are requested to take these traffic conditions into account and strictly follow the instructions of the Surinamese Police on site.
