In the Tour of Switzerland, Adam Yates and Joao Almeida on behalf of the UAE Team showed several times that they are the best riders in the race. On the last day they can compete against each other.

The Tour of Switzerland ended with a time trial of around fifteen kilometres. The first kilometers were flat, then climbed steeply between Aigle and Villars-sur-Ollon. So most of the riders changed their bikes.

Damiano Caruso was the first to set a target time, but in the end he only finished thirteenth. Lenny Martinez was the first to take about a minute off, and then it was time to look for candidates.

Mattias Skjelmose had an excellent test at the right time and could therefore somewhat dream of today's victory. In the second intermediate point, he still had the best split, but in the final kilometers things continued to go wrong.

Double victory for the Emirates team

The UAE team once again proved that it has the best team in the Swiss Tour. Joao Almeida will eventually win the day in Villars-sur-Ollon on Sunday.

Adam Yates finished second with a time of eight seconds. More than enough to take overall victory by 23 seconds over teammate Almeida. Maxim van Gils finished seventeenth in today's results, more than two minutes behind.
