During the final months of his ministry, the man was active on a dating site. Through the platform, he had a conversation with a person who claimed to be a woman in Ukraine. She regularly asked the man for information, and he would provide it to her as well. The alleged wife described the man as a “secret love agent.”

According to the US Department of Defense, the man was regularly present in discussions about the situation in Ukraine shortly after Russia invaded the country. The man is said to have passed on information about military targets and Russian military power in Ukraine.
