What exactly do consumers need to do to make this happen? Basically, Power Mode is all about setting up your WiFi router. In order to set this up again, you must call up the FritzBox user interface on a PC or laptop.

This menu item is a tip to increase the speed of the LAN and USB connections of the WLAN router. All devices connected to the router via LAN cable can be equipped with faster Internet.
Specifically, the data rate can be increased from 100 megabits per second (Mbit/s) to up to 1000 Mbit/s. However, this mode is not always set immediately, because the FritzBox is usually in the so-called “green mode” (more digital information on RUHR24).
To increase internet speed, you must follow the following steps:
- Open the FritzBox menu in the browser.
- Select the Home Network menu item and then click Network.
- Then open the Network Settings tab.
- In the “LAN Settings” section, consumers can now see the previously set mode. This can be toggled from 'Green Mode' to 'Power Mode'.
- Then click “Apply”.
