A 23-year-old American woman was arrested after she tried to steal 65 Stanley thermos cups. The bottles are worth together about 2,000 euros. Stanley cups have been a huge hit on TikTok.

The American woman took the bottles from a store in California on Monday and refused to pay for them. She ignored the employees who asked her to pay and loaded the bottles into her car. Finally, the police stopped the woman's car at the entrance to the highway. Police found 65 thermos cups in her car.

Stanley cups have become very popular on social media in recent months. Influencers find the Stanley Quencher to be the perfect cup for taking water with you. They declared their love for the product under the hashtag #Stanleycup, which has received more than seven billion views on the social networking site TikTok. Since then, the cup has become a tool with which young women in particular want to distinguish themselves.

Stanley Quincher often led to remarkable situations. TikTokkers in the US posted footage of themselves spending the night in a car park to make sure they could buy a special edition Starbucks cup. There is also a video of a man jumping over the counter of a Starbucks in an attempt to steal a pink version of the cup.

“Don't commit a crime to quench your thirst.”

The Stanley brand has been around for 110 years and their mugs are unbreakable. For many years, factory workers and construction workers were the target group. This way they can keep their coffee warm all day long. This has changed in recent years and there are mugs in different fashionable colors and shapes.

Police in California also noticed the noise and warned fans to stay within the bounds of the law in their excitement. “Although Stanley Quinchers is very angry, we advise you to refrain from committing crimes to quench your thirst,” police wrote in a letter about the woman’s robbery.
