As the company has now announced, using the API to record video conferences will be charged at $0.03 per minute. The recording is then made available as an MP4 video file. In addition, the Transcription API can also be used, which provides significantly more detailed information for an additional $0.024 per minute.
Using Microsoft’s Graph API, the spoken word from the conference is available as text. But the AI system doesn’t just stubbornly write everything down. Texts in the form of VTT files make it possible to access the content using timestamps and separating it by speaker.

Microsoft describes how data can be evaluated in the associated documentation. This allows developers to automatically evaluate the information and prepare it for further use within the company.
The mentioned features are currently available as a public preview. It can be assumed that the functions will be easily accepted by corporate users. For meeting participants, the advantage of minute counting is that bosses can ensure that meetings, which are not very popular with most employees, do not drag on for too long.
