A 32-year-old British nurse is suspected of killing seven children by poisoning them. Nurse Lucy Litby is said to have injected a total of 17 newborn babies with insulin, air and milk.

The poisonings are said to have occurred between June 2015 and June 2016 at a hospital in northern England. According to the prosecutor, the nurse in the incubator’s ward was a “malignant and persistent presence,” the Guardian wrote.

According to the accused, there has been a “significant increase” in the number of babies dying since the moment the nurse began working at the hospital in 2015. Also, Letby is said to have been the only nurse present every time something incomprehensible went wrong with the newborns. .

One of the children was only 24 hours old when Litby was allegedly injected with air. 90 minutes into her shift, the boy died. According to the prosecutor, she tried to kill his twin sister the next day.

The case is in a court in Manchester and will be decided by a jury. Jury members were also told on Monday that Lytby had an “extraordinary interest” in the parents and followed them on Facebook. The nurse herself denies all the accusations. The jury will rule within six months.
