The Dutch women’s hockey team faces Belgium in the quarter-finals of the World Cup on Tuesday. The southern neighbors beat Chile 5-0 in the middle round and are therefore allowed to play again at Amstelveen Wagner Stadium.
Belgium finished second behind Australia in the group that played their matches in Terrassa, Spain, and thus tied with Chile, a somewhat surprising third seed in the Netherlands group.

The women of national coach Raoul Ehren are gradually joining the top countries and quickly achieve their favorite role thanks to an amazing penalty kick from Stephanie Vanden Bure. Before the end of the first quarter, Justin Raser succeeded in a cross from Louis Versaville and Vanden Bury succeeded again with a corner kick: 3-0.
With that said, the fight was almost over after fifteen minutes of hockey. Then Charlotte Engelbert raised the score from the rebound after a penalty kick and a field goal after a long rush to 5-0.

Earlier today, Germany were also among the quarter-finals with a 1-0 win over South Africa. The only goal in the match came through Nike Lorenz, who converted a penalty kick in the 38th minute, the only one out of seventeen to occupy the fourth place in the world rankings.
Germany will play New Zealand on Tuesday also in Amstelveen.
