According to the Center for Automotive Research, electric cars weigh an average of 21 percent more than gasoline cars.

With a range of up to 800 km, the Lucid Air Dream Edition range aims to challenge German competitors such as the Mercedes EQS or the new BMW 7 Series. Although the Lucid model is designed for maximum efficiency, it is also very heavy: the electric sedan weighs 2,400 kilograms – nearly 400 kilograms more than the Mercedes S-Class with a combustion engine.
