Google will roll out Android 13 later this year. Samsung is expected to start the One UI 5 beta for Galaxy phones in July. Many current Galaxy smartphones and tablets will receive Android 13. But not others.

Samsung offers up to four generations of major Android upgrades for Galaxy flagships and tablets released in 2021 or later. Older flagships like the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 came with two OS upgrades at launch.

In August 2020, the Korean phone maker announced that all major Galaxy devices launched with Android 9-based One UI 1.x software will receive three major OS upgrades. This announcement made available an additional Android update for the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series.

Unfortunately, this will not change the fact that the models in the two series will not receive another update to Android, which means that Android 12 was the last major update for the models. Hence, they will not get the Android 13 update either.

These Samsung smartphones will not get Android 13:

  • Galaxy Note 10
  • Galaxy Note 10+
  • Galaxy Note 10+ 5G
  • Galaxy S10
  • Galaxy S10e
  • Galaxy S10 +
  • Galaxy S10 5G

This list is not complete yet, so other devices on the list will likely end up. However, it can be said that anything older than the Samsung Galaxy S10 series and Galaxy Note 10 will no longer receive Android 13.
