Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, S8 + and S8 Ultra: tablet technical sheet becomes clearer

Theodore Meeks, January 17, 2022

It won’t be long before Samsung’s high-end tablets are revamped. The Galaxy Tab S8’s technical sheet is clearer, and it includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.

Galaxy Tab S8, S8 + and S8 Ultra are approaching

After opening the ball with 2022 announcements with the Galaxy S21 FE, Samsung is preparing to reveal several other devices by the end of the first quarter. Thus, in the field of smartphones, the Galaxy S22 series is very much expected in February, although the South Korean manufacturer has not yet confirmed any official presentation date. It should be followed, at the end of the same month, by another group of products: tablets.

If we rely on visuals and technical data sheets obtained by WinFuture, on the other side of the Rhine, Samsung should unveil three tablets at the Mobile World Congress, scheduled for the end of February in Barcelona. The Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra devices have been placed in the high-end device category, and they are already offering part of their technical sheet.

The first Samsung products under the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1?

Thus, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will be Samsung’s largest tablet to date, with a 14.6-inch Super Amoled panel (2960 x 1,848 pixels), well beyond the 12.7-inch Tab S8+ (Amoled, 2,800 x 1,752 pixels). ) and an 11-inch Tab S8 (2560 x 1600 pixels, this time in an LCD screen). All will share a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform, flanked by at least 8GB of RAM and 16GB for the S8 Ultra version. Each model will have a microSD port, to complement 128 or 256 GB of storage (S8 and S8+), or up to 512 GB (S8 Ultra). The Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra will be powered by 8000, 10,090, and 11,200 mAh batteries, respectively. They will share a dorsal image module with two sensors (13 and 6 MP) and will benefit from a 12 MP unit on the front; The Tab S8 Ultra will have a second of 12 megapixels.

According to WinFuture, these three tablets, like the S7 series for that matter, will be delivered with the S Pen to be magnetized on the top edge. They will of course run under Android 12, with One UI 4 already running on the latest Samsung products. While waiting for the release of the Galaxy Tab S8, S8 + and S8 Ultra devices, note that the manufacturer was not left empty-handed: the Galaxy Tab A8 series was recently made available, and it is the brand’s “affordable” offering.
