Yes, you read that right: A video of people skiing in Australia during an earthquake has surfaced. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the strange pictures are. In the video filmed on Mt. Bowler, the area is seen shaking as people skate. It must have been a weird experience for skaters too!

Last Wednesday, the Australian state of Victoria was hit by an earthquake. The epicenter of the earthquake was near Mansfield, about 200 kilometers from Melbourne. The first earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale came at 9:15 a.m. local time, followed by another at 9:33 a.m., with a magnitude of 4, and finally another at 9:54 a.m., with a magnitude of 3.2. Victorians reported strong shocks and office evictions. Earthquakes were also felt in many ski areas, including Mt. bull. Several cameras in the area captured the earthquake, as evidenced by the images below. It must have been a strange experience: feeling an earthquake while skiing.
Good damage, no injuries
Earthquakes in Victoria, where most of Australia’s ski resorts are located, have caused extensive damage to buildings. The exact damage has not yet been determined, but reports from Melbourne have already indicated several places where the earthquake caused damage. Fortunately, to my knowledge, no injuries have been reported. Authorities warn of possible repercussions in the future. It was the largest earthquake in Australia since 1997.
