    Congress alleges PM-CARES fund acquired donations from Chinese companies

    Amid political mudslinging concerning the opposition Congress and the ruling BJP on the situation of donations from Chinese corporations, the Congress has alleged that PM-CARES fund also obtained donations from Chinese firms.

    Senior Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi reported “Why has PM Modi acquired Chinese cash in the PM-CARES fund, in spite of the overt Chinese hostilities? Has PM obtained Rs 7 crore from the controversial corporation Huawei? Does Huawei have a direct link with People’s Liberation Military of China? Has the Chinese enterprise proudly owning TikTok facilitated a donation of Rs 30 crore to the controversial PM CARES Fund?”

    The Congress has also questioned if Paytm, which has 38 for every cent Chinese ownership, supplied Rs 100 crore, Oppo 1 crore and Xiaomi Rs 15 crore in the fund.

    “Has Key Minister Modi diverted the donations acquired in PMNRF to the controversial PM-CARES Fund and how many hundred crores is the quantity diverted?” Singhvi requested.

    Singhvi said experiences propose that as on May perhaps 20, 2020, the fund acquired Rs 9,678 crore. “The stunning aspect is that though Chinese forces have transgressed into our territory, Prime Minister has gained the money in the fund from Chinese companies,” he alleged.

    “No just one is aware the constitutional or operational framework of the PM-CARES fund and how it is managed or cash was given to it utilised. The fund is not even topic to audit by any public authority which include CAG. PMO has absent to the extent of stating this fund is not a general public authority.”

    “The fund appears to be only run by the Prime Minister in an opaque and magic formula style with zero transparency and zero accountability,” claimed Singhvi.

    The Congress spokesperson questioned that “if the Prime Minister of India will compromise his placement by accepting donations of hundreds of crores from Chinese businesses in the controversial and opaque fund, then how will he defend the region against Chinese aggression?”

    The Congress alleged that the Modi government continues to sidestep the brazen Chinese transgressions and occupation of Indian territory by Chinese forces in Galwan Valley, Pangong Tso lake region, Incredibly hot Springs and Depsang plains up to Y-Junction.

    “Primary Minister Narendra Modi unashamedly misleads the country and serves the sinister agenda of the Chinese by declaring that China has in no way intruded into the Indian territory, nor is it in profession of any territory,” alleged Singhvi.

    The Congress chief said that the party will continue to keep inquiring these inquiries in the nationwide interest.
