    The authority indicated that 2.3 million Britons hold cryptocurrency, compared to 1.9 million last year, according to France 24.

    She pointed out that 38 percent of cryptocurrency traders considered these assets as a gamble, down from 47 percent last year, while increasing numbers are seeing them as either a complement or alternative to mainstream investments.

    The main digital currency, Bitcoin, has seen huge fluctuations over the past year.
