    As coronavirus cases increase to 9,150 in Karnataka, Kanakapura town in Ramanagara district has made the decision to go into self-imposed, voluntary lockdown till July 1.

    For the duration of a assembly chaired by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president-designate DK Shivakumar, it was observed that Kanakapura will have 17 hrs lockdown just about every day till July 1.

    In accordance to the Congress chief, DK Shivakumar, “This lockdown has absolutely nothing to do with the State government’s pointers. This will be voluntary and will be reviewed on July 1.”

    A press release said that the measures had been taken in order to guard the people specially the youthful and outdated throughout the pandemic. 

    According to the new guidelines of voluntary lockdown, the essential shops will be open up in between 7 am and 11 am. Wearing a mask and working with sanitiser is compulsory. Timings for health care stores and wine stores are but to be decided just after consultation with the trade bodies. 

    According to the Shivakumar, the govt was giving Rs 60 everyday to sufferers admitted at the Ramanagaram govt clinic and quarantine centres towards foods fees, which he termed ‘insufficient’. He further announced Rs 100 would be given  from the DKS Charitable Foundation  

    All political associates and traders have agreed to the town’s final decision to go less than quarantine. Covid-19 tally crossed the 9,000-mark, with 453 new optimistic cases recorded in Karnataka in the very last 24 hrs. The virus also claimed 5 far more life, getting the state’s toll to 137 till day.
