“I understand at first that maybe some people have had some concerns about some of the allegations, but now we’re just a few steps down the road. They are off the runway. We just have to admit: This is embarrassing for us. It’s an insult to us.” Hogan told CNN Jake correspondent. Taber “The Democratic Process and the Shrinking Presidency”.

“I think this is bad for our party, bad for the country and weakens our standing in the world.”

Hogan’s sharp comments came shortly after 55 California voters put Joe Biden on the 270 electoral votes needed to become president, confirming his election as the 46th President of the United States.

While a growing number of Republican senators are willing to publicly acknowledge Biden’s victory, the president’s staunch defenders are urging him to fight his loss until the House of Representatives in January.

The split comes weeks after Trump voted on conspiracy theories, despite courts in all battlefield states rejecting appeals from his election campaign. The Supreme Court dealt a fatal blow to his efforts to nullify the election result late Friday, dismissing the case by the Texas attorney general that sought to disenfranchise millions of voters in four states.

“See, this election is over and I know the president had every opportunity to present some kind of evidence of widespread voter fraud. We didn’t see anything. All court cases were completed, the Supreme Court refused to hear the case because there was no factual evidence, And now states across America – the Electoral College voted, ”Hogan said Monday.

“I have signed the voting confirmations here in our state and we’re forwarding them to the president of the Senate, the vice president, who will have to read them before a joint session of Congress on January 6.”

The country must “start moving forward and realize the fact that whether you like it or not, no man is above the law, not even the president of the United States. We counted the votes, and the elections are over,” he said.
