After extending Google Meet’s free calling feature until March 2021 in relation to the ongoing epidemiological situation, Google will soon introduce several new features to its survey and question-answer (Q & As) facility to its video calling platform. While Google had already announced these features in June, in August it confirmed a release in October. These two features are quite similar to Zoom video calling app.
As I mentioned Android, These features will be rolled out gradually starting October 8th Onwards, it will be available for platforms such as G Suite Enterprise for Education, G Suite Enterprise, G Suite Essentials, and G Suite Business.
Currently, there is no confirmation from Google about when these features will be available on G Suite Basic, G Suite for Education, and G Suite for non-profit customers. to me AndroidCentral, It is rumored that it can be accessed from all eligible accounts by October 23.
Moreover, Google said in its blog that the Q&A feature will be supportive of those people who speak kindly and take a little longer to process their thoughts in a busy environment. While it will encourage them to put forth their opinions, in addition it will make the meetings more inclusive by providing opportunities for everyone to ask questions.
Regarding the polling feature, Google said it will provide an enabling environment for receiving feedback in both business and education meetings. Through real-time feedback, teachers can ensure their students’ understanding of their level by testing them while a salesperson can interactively upgrade their methods through customer feedback.
Previously, Google Meet also upgraded its video conferencing app from its background blur feature along with active noise cancellation. Additionally, it also added the whiteboard facility and expanded support for Chromecasts with participants split into a 49-person gallery.
