30 new cases as Gladys Bergiklian re-submitted for drastic new procedures

“Although the numbers are higher than they were yesterday, the positive thing is that we still haven’t seen evidence of intensive seeding outside the northern shore community,” said Prime Minister Gladys Prejiklian.

In a flurry of developments late Saturday evening, the Sydney yacht race to Hobart was canceled for the first time in its history after the Tasmanian government imposed a 14-day quarantine requirement on all travelers from Greater Sydney.

This came with the virus returning to Sydney’s inner city, where upscale Surry Hills restaurant Nomad alerted diners who attended on Wednesday, December 16, that they had tested positive for the virus and should be tested immediately.

Victoria recorded two new cases of Coronavirus within the hotel’s quarantine on Sunday, as Victoria’s health authorities are studying the possibility of closing the border with New South Wales.

This comes after the Ministry of Health expanded the “Orange Zone” in New South Wales to include the Central Coast region, along with Greater Sydney, at 9:30 pm on Saturday.

Those from New South Wales traveling to Victoria from the Orange Zone are encouraged to undergo testing on arrival and self-isolate until they have a negative result.

Western Australian Prime Minister Mark McGowan moved NSW from a low-risk to medium-risk state and reinstated the tough border from midnight. No longer will travel from New South Wales to Washington be permitted unless an exception applies.

More is coming.
