The building has two towers 70 meters high and one 215 meters long connected to each other. In total, the complex contains more than 450 rented and owned homes. On the top floor of the tallest tower, there will be a restaurant and a panoramic view accessible to the public at a height of 185 meters.
The first residents of one of the two lower buildings have since moved in. The homes at the top of the tower will be completed from January 2022. Of the more than 250 owner-occupied homes, only three are still available. However, dozens of homes are still available to potential renters. “Sales far exceed expectations,” says project developer Michelle Corbeau of the AM office.

The construction of the complex began in 2018, and it was already developed in 2013. 165 concrete beams 63 meters long were dug into the ground to establish the highest tower. “The Zalmhaven Tower is also the tallest prefab building in the world. All parts of the building, except for the cast concrete, were assembled elsewhere, moved to Zalmhaven and assembled there,” says Edwin van Leeuwen, development manager at Amvest.
Rotterdamers can experience reaching the highest point through a light show with the tower as the center. It can be seen from many places in the city on Thursday and Friday evenings between 8pm and 11pm.
